This year has managed to both fly by, and hold so many big life events for me and my family that it’s hard to believe it all happened in the last twelve months! Obviously the biggest events for me were getting engaged, planning our wedding, AND getting married. For some people that might seem like a lot to do in one year, but since we’ve been together since the age of 16, a shorter engagement fit us perfectly.
Aside from all of that, I also dove deeper into makeup artistry; doing freelance work and working full-time as a Makeup Advisor/Selling Artist for Edge Beauty. I am also still doing image consulting and wardrobe styling on the side, in addition to blogging. Needless to say, it’s been a busy year!
Our wedding day was cozy and intimate with just our immediate family and friends. It rained sporadically, at one point down pouring with violent winds which forced us to move our ceremony inside in front of a big, stone fireplace. White pumpkins, vines, and flowers in muted pinks and purples were our decorations, all put together with the help of our family and best friends.
Words can’t describe how much I loved my dress. As much as I enjoyed trying on all of the big ballgown style ones while we were dress shopping, I fell in love with this one for it’s pretty bohemian lace and off the shoulder cut that made it so comfortable.
My grandma made the belt out of the bottom of my dress that she had to remove to hem it. I knew from the start that I wasn’t a veil girl, so a glitzy flower crown was the perfect accessory. A few minutes before the ceremony, I decided to walk down the aisle sans shoes because I was so afraid of tripping! After the ceremony I slipped on sparkly, blush pink heels for pictures and the reception.
Our nephews and niece did amazing as our ring bearers and flower girl…and somehow right before we walked down the aisle, they got their hands on cookies that they patiently munched on while we said our vows.

The End………
I hope everyone has a great New Year’s Weekend! I’ll see you all next year!
