Blanket scarves are one of fall and winter’s most popular trends. Here is my take on wearing them, using three of my favorite shapes.
If you are a pinterest addict like myself, every other outfit you see involves some form of over sized scarf. The finished product always looks SO chic and effortless…until you see one unfolded and it’s literally the size of a blanket. As in, I always feel comforted by the thought that if I ever get stranded somewhere I can use my blanket scarf as a throw, or to have a picnic. With that being said, they are extremely warm (I have avoided breaking out my wool winter coat yet this season) by simply layering this scarf over my fall jacket. The downfall is when you are on the shorter side (I’m 5′ 1″ on a good posture day) it is easy to get lost in your blanket scarf. I’m also one of those people that doesn’t like clothing up around my neck. Yes, the 90’s turtle necks just about killed me growing up.
So below are the ways I like to style my scarf that don’t make me feel claustrophobic or make me look like that street style picture of Lenny Kravitz that has been used in hundreds of memes. Happy Friday, everyone!
